NU_IQ Platform: Key Highlights
Mahindra has engineered the NU_IQ platform as a cutting-edge, multi-energy base. It can run on petrol, diesel, hybrid, or fully electric powertrains, ensuring adaptability for diverse markets.
The platform introduces a **flat-floor layout—an industry-first for an ICE SUV—**which maximizes cabin room and expands luggage space. Buyers can also expect options for front-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive.
All four concept SUVs embody Mahindra’s latest ‘Heartcore’ design language, which combines muscular proportions with functional detailing. Inside, Mahindra will equip these vehicles with the futuristic NU_UX digital interface, powered by a next-gen Integrated Domain Architecture for smarter connectivity and control.

Vision T
Mahindra evolved its 2023 Thar.e into the Vision T, a rugged, off-road powerhouse. The SUV sports a boxy military stance, a bold vertical grille, chunky tyres, and a striking yellow tow hook that reinforces its adventure-first character.
Vision S
The Vision S likely extends the Scorpio legacy with a tough, squared-off frame paired with modern touches. Flush-mounted door handles, L-shaped LED lighting, and roof lamps give it a modern yet trail-ready appearance.
Vision X
Mahindra positions the Vision X as an urban-friendly sub-four-metre SUV. Its sharp design includes geometric panels, gloss-black wheel arches, a sloping coupe-like roofline, and connected LED tail lamps, all tied together with sleek DRLs for a sporty, youthful look.
Vision SXT
The Vision SXT adds utility to the rugged formula by borrowing design cues from the Vision T and merging them with a pickup-inspired body. The vehicle includes a loading bay and space for two spare tyres, giving it an adventurous, multi-purpose edge.
Final Word
With the NU_IQ platform and its Vision concepts, Mahindra is actively redefining the future of its SUV lineup. Production models will begin hitting the roads in 2027, bringing buyers a mix of rugged off-roaders, practical lifestyle vehicles, and sleek urban SUVs.
