While the keynote, pre-order date, and official on-sale date have all been heavily rumored, Apple’s annual iOS update hasn’t been pinned down with the same precision — until now.

When Will iOS 26 Be Available?

Looking at last year’s pattern, iOS 18 launched on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, one week after the keynote and just before the iPhone 16 went on sale.
Following that precedent, I expect iOS 26 to arrive on:
- Monday, Sept. 15, 2025 at around 10 a.m. PT
- (Alternatively, Tuesday, Sept. 16, though Monday seems more likely)
Given how polished iOS 26 already appears, Apple will likely aim to release it quickly after the keynote to maximize excitement.
